Jonatan Cerrada (b. September 12, 1985 in Liege, Belgium as Jonathan Cerrada Moreno) is a Belgian born Spanish singer who in 2003 won "A La Recherche De La Nouvelle Star" (The 1st version of the French Pop Idol). Though Jonatan has strong Belgium and Spanish roots he now lives and works in France, he speaks fluent French and Spanish.

Personal life

Jonatan grew up in the city of Ans with his four siblings (Julien, Rafaël, Audrey and Rachel) and his Spanish parents María Victoria Moreno and Valentín Cerrada. He was eight-years-old when he entered the Opéra Royal de Wallonie where he stayed until he was fourteen.

Professional career

Jonatan won the first French version of Pop Idol in July 2003 A La Recherche De La Nouvelle Star. He represented France in the Eurovision Song Contest 2004 singing "A Chaque Pas" and came 15th out of 24 finalist countries.

His debut album "Siempre 23" was a great hit in France including his hit singles "A Chaque Pas", "Rien Ne Me Changera" and "Je Voulais Te Dire Que Je T'Attends". His recent album "La Preuve Du Contraire" has been a hit in France and across Europe. Jonatan produced the soundtrack to the French version of the film Robots: "Mon Paradis".

Most of his singles are officially released in France and Belgium, however "Mon Paradis" was only released in Belgium. "Libre Comme L'air" is his last single to date which was released September 12, 2005 in Belgium only, the release of this single in France is expected shortly with different tracklistings.
