Jonathan May is a cellist and frequent guest artist and conductor. He resides in the Orlando, Florida region. He is the Artistic Director of the Florida Young Artists Orchestra in Orlando and the Central Florida Youth Orchestra in Leesburg and was recently appointed as Music Director of the Flagler Youth Orchestra in Palm Coast Florida. He regularly works with over 500 students weekly and has a 25 year history of working with orchestras all over the world. He was recently appointed as Artistic Director of the Academy of Music at Schloss-Ort in Gmunden, Austria where he performs as cellist and conductor. He has won many awards on behalf of his work including Teachers Who Make a Difference Award and an ASCAP award from the American Symphyony Orchestra League. He has worked with professional orchestras in Colorado, Minnesota, Tennessee, Florida and was a guest conductor with the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra and the City of Prague Symphony Orchestra.
