Musicians - Josh Caterer

Josh Caterer was born in 1972. He is a founding member of the influential Chicago band, The Smoking Popes. In the band he plays guitar and sings. Before he was in The Smoking Popes he formed the band Speedstick with his brothers Eli and Matthew. Their influences were The Stooges, MC5, The Dead Kennedys and Black Flag. Eli was too young to play the first show, so he was replaced by Dave Martens. Josh Caterer is probably one of the most influential singer\song writers from Chicago. Many bands today such as Alkaline Trio (another influential Chicago band), Fall Out Boy, Blink-182 ETC, cite Caterer as a major influence.
