| Juice Newton (born Judith Kaye Cohen on February 18, 1952, in Lakehurst, New Jersey) is an American pop and country singer. She grew up in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Newton's 1980s hits include "Angel of the Morning" (originally charted by Merilee Rush in 1968 and written by Chip Taylor), "Queen of Hearts", "The Sweetest Thing", "Love's Been a Little Bit Hard on Me", and "Break It to Me Gently" (an early hit for Brenda Lee). Newton's 1982 album Quiet Lies won her a Grammy for Best Female Country Vocal Performance.
