| Julio María Sosa Venturini (born on February 2 1926 in Las Piedras, Canelones Department - died on November 26 1964 in Buenos Aires), usually referred to just as Julio Sosa, was an Uruguayan tango singer. In 1949 Sosa moved to Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he would live until his premature death in a car accident. Nicknamed El Varón del Tango ("The man of tango"), he recorded several albums, and became one of the most important tango singer of all time.
