| Karl Buechner is the original singer for the band Earth Crisis. Since the early 1990's he has been at the forefront of the hardcore music scene which promotes a vegan and straight edge lifestyle, and is also known for his work in the animal rights arena, speaking at many prominent hearings and doing outreach work for animal rights organisations such as PETA. After the breakup of Earth Crisis in 2001, he now sings for Freya, a band named for the Norse goddess of fertility.
