| King Solomon Hill was a bluesman who recorded a small handful of songs in the early 20th century. His name derives from the cemetery where he was buried, and the anonymity of his recordings. Hill is speculated to have been Joe Holmes, a self-taught guitarist from Mississippi. Hill's six recordings include "Gone Dead Train," "Down on Bended Knee,""My Buddy Blind Papa Lemon," and "Times Has Done Got Hard" and two alternate takes.
