Kristine W (Kristine Weitz) (b. June 8 1962 in Pasco, Washington) is an American singer with three official albums to her name; Land Of the Living (1996), Stronger (2000) and Fly Again (2003). A bootlegged CD, Perfect Beat, appeared after the release of Kristine's album Land Of the Living on eBay and sold quite high before it was finally tracked down and stopped. The bootleg contains demos of songs Kristine had done during the late eighties and is now only sold through .

Kristine W's massive club hit single, "Land Of the Living" was covered by Patti LaBelle as a duet with for her Classic Moments album released June 20 2005 in the US.

On January 22 2005 Kristine W marked her ninth consecutive number one hit with the third single from her Fly Again album, "The Wonder Of It All." Kristine W now holds the record of most consecutive number one hits on Billboard's Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart, a record once held by Madonna (7) and Janet Jackson (7). Her number-ones streak ended with the Billboard issue dated March 4 2006 when her tenth dance chart entry "I'll Be Your Light" peaked at number two.

Trivia

Kristine W is a former Miss Washington and placed first in the talent competition at the 1982 Miss America pageant.
Kristine's first major radio success (with the name of just Kristine) was in 1989 with the R&B radio hit "All I Need Is Your Love." Penned by Jeff Lorber and Kristine, the song was a promo success on R&B radio until it was found out that Kristine was not an African American female and the song never made an official release as radio airplay dwindled with the news.
The first official Kristine W release was on the Our Tribe single, "Love Come Home" in 1994 released by Champion Records UK. The single, officially released as Our Tribe featuring Frankie Pharoah and Kristine W, was produced by Rollo and Rob D (the producers of the Land Of the Living album) and showcased Kristine's remarkable vocal backings. Many of the remixes on the single heavily featured Kristine's vocals solo.
