Musicians - Loso

Loso is a Thai rock band from Khorat. Loso means "Low Society", reflecting Loso's humble origins. It is probably the most popular band in Thailand during late 1990s with huge success in the first few albums.

Loso is mainly based around frontman and guitarist Sek Loso, who has recently based himself in the UK, learnt English and started playing western rock festivals. All songs were written by Sek Loso while the band composed and arranged them.

Members

  • Seksan Sukpimay (Sek): Vocals, Guitar. Date of Birth: August 7, 1974
  • Kittisak Khotkam (Yai) : Drum. Date of Birth: January 22, 1973
  • Apirath Sukkhajitr (Rath or Tom) : Bass. Date of Birth: September 20, 1967
Now the band has been split up. Seksan released a solo album 7 August before leaving to study in UK. Kittisak and Apirak joined a new rock band named Fahrenheit
.

Loso has reformed in an international effort to gain a US record deal. The reformation comes with new band members, all English.

The new band has put togther a new english album, For God's Sake, and have toured Europe, Asia, and the USA.

Loso's most famous song is most likely "Som Sarn" which means Hesitant. The acoustic guitar intro is probably most recognizable to any Thai or Lao person.
