| Lucas Abela is an Australian musician. Besides his own name, he has performed as Peeled Hearts Paste, Justice Yeldham and the Dynamic Ribbon Device, and DJ Smallcock. He also runs the Dual Plover record label. Abela started hosting a radio program in Sydney in 1992, on which he experimented with turntables and surface noise. He was invited by Sydney noise-rock outfit Phlegm to perform a live show. Abela's debut album, A Kombi - Music to Drive By, was released in 1996 on his newly formed Dual Plover label. It consisted of sounds made by his Volkswagen Type 2 van. In 1997 he released the Plover Brand LP under the name Peeled Hearts Paste. This recording contained examples of Abela's work with turntables and styli, including a styli mounted to the fingertips of gloves, and a "knife styli". As DJ Smallcock he released the Yinyue LP in 2000, which consisted of recordings he'd made from Beijing radio.
