| Mark Chaussee was the live guitarist for Marilyn Manson on the 2004-2005 Against All Gods world tour.. Chaussee joined the band in late 2004 as a replacement for the recently-departed John 5. A former member of Danzig and of Rob Halford's post-Judas Priest band Fight, Chaussee brought an "old-school" heavy metal sound to Marilyn Manson's live performance, in contrast to John 5's polished hard rock influences. Chaussee's position in the band had always been regarded as temporary; however, no official statement has been made regarding his long-term status. It is assumed, though unconfirmed, that Chaussee played guitar during the recording sessions which followed the Against All Gods tour in early or mid-2005.
