| Well-regarded multi-instrumentalist session musician. Has played with Billy Joel, Hall & Oates, Peter Gabriel, Simon & Garfunkel, Ringo Starr, and Kurtis Blow. As legend has it, Billy Joel auditioned Rivera for the saxophonist in his band in 1982, after Richie Cannata left to be his sound man. Rivera played him the sax part in Just the Way You Are and was hired on the spot.
