| Mike Wengren is a musician from Chicago, Illinois, best known for his work with Heavy Metal band Disturbed for his hard core drum playing. He is one of the founding members of the band, which was formed in 1997. He has been quoted as saying that Tommy Lee (of Mötley Crüe), Metallica, Slayer, Vinnie Paul (of Pantera), Racer X, and Testament were his strongest influences when he began drumming. In recent years, he has appeared in ads for Pearl Drums, the brand of drums he has been using since he first started playing drums.
