Mordechai Werdyger, generally known as Mordechai ben David (lit. "Mordechai, the son of David". His father is a well known cantor, David Werdyger) is a popular Jewish singer. He blends traditional Hasidic melodies with modern pop to form the songs that he puts out in albums and sings at concerts.

Mordechai's stage name is often abbreviated as MBD. Mordechai's son, Yeedle Werdyger, also entered into the Jewish music arena, though he is less popular than his father, who has been called "The King of Jewish Music", a term which is truly accurate. MBD has produced a record amount of instant hit Jewish albums. He lives in Seagate, NY. Discography:
