It was originally introduced by Byron Palmer and Doretta Morrow in the Brodway musical Where's Charley? A number of different versions, all popular, were recorded: The most well-known was by Jo Stafford and Gordon MacRae, a Billboard magazine #1 hit. The recording was released by Capitol Records as catalog number 15270. Another version was recorded by Doris Day and Buddy Clark as Columbia Records catalog number 38353.
