Musicians - Rex D'Souza

Rex D'Souza was one of the three finalists of Fame Gurukul, one of the most watched television shows in India - along with Ruprekha Banerjee
and Qazi Touqeer
. On 20 October, 2005, he performed as one of the three finalists but lost out to Ruprekha and Qazi - his good friend.

All through the 4 months spent in Gurukul, Rex was always criticized and was once voted out. However, he managed to win the hearts of the people, who gave him so many votes that he was brought back.

On Fame Gurukul, Rex was known as the Performance King - he was the perfect mixture of charisma, singing and confidence. He believed a smile could conquer every mountain and had within him a heart of gold. Rex D'souza won the hearts of many with his adorable personality, he was even named Mr. Gurukul. Most people stated that they would be most upset if Rex left, earlier on in the competition when he was in danger.

Some people have criticized the decision of him not being chosen the winner on the account of the fact that he and Qazi were one of the liveliest pairs and all surveys had shown their pair to be the most popular. Some have also criticized his being shoved to the sidelines after the announcement of the results.

Though he didn't win, he has won the hearts of numerous fans that still love him for who he is.
