| Roland Dyens (born 1955) is a French guitarist and composer, born in Tunisia. As a performer, Dyens is known for his extraordinary capacity for improvisation. His guitar music draws on many elements of folk music and jazz, and has become popular with players. Tango en skaï (1985) is by far his best-known piece, but the more extended Libra Sonatine (1986), written after Dyens had suffered a heart attack, is also widely played.
