Musicians - Samuel Cohen |
|
||
| Samuel Cohen was a composer. He is best remembered for arranging the Israeli National Anthem, Hatikvah. While living in Rishon L'Zion, Cohen put a poem by Naftali Herz Imber to music based on an old Moldavian-Romanian folk song, "Carul cu Boi" (Cart and Oxen). Cohen did not receive credit due to the lack of a copyright on the melody.
