| Steve Martland (b. Liverpool, England, United Kingdom, October 10, 1959) is an English composer. His music is often aggressive and hard edged, showing influence from minimalism as well as rock music, bearing some similarity in this regard to the work of Louis Andriessen (with whom he studied) and Michael Nyman. Martland founded and composes for an amplified ensemble called The Steve Martland Band.
