Musicians - Sukhshinder Shinda

Sukshinder Shinda, aka The Music Man, is a singer, director, and producer from Handsworth, Birmingham, UK. He has over 200 album credits to his name. Although he only arrived on the silver screen in 2003, he has been serving the Punjabi music industry for more than 20 years. The persons behind Shinda's success are his tutors Kuldip Singh Matharu, Laal Singh Bhatti and 'Guru' Ustad Ajit Singh.

Although he only entered the singing field (solo albums) in 2003, with Gal Sun Ja (Music Label: Tips, India), he has created a sensation among Punjabi music lovers. In 2005, his latest album BALLE was released with Speed Records, India. The title song, BALLE, involves a fusion of different beats adding to the beauty of the song.

Most of Shinda's videos are directed by Baljit Singh Deo and are mostly shot in foreign locations. Shinda, also known for displaying swanky cars in his videos, has recently released a new video Punjabi Clap featuring Takeova ENT. The video itself tells the qualities of the man behind it -- that is, Baljit Singh.

Launching Careers

Shinda helped Jaswinder Singh Bains (aka Jazzy B) launch his career in 1986, by producing and composing his first album Ghugian da Johra.

Sukshinder Shinda has also been associated with the rise of Amrinder Gill. He assisted with the promotion of Gill's Dildarian; during the pre-release period, promos were aired featuring names of Shinda and Baljit Singh. Due to this collaboration, Punjabi music lovers were eagerly awaiting the release of Gill's album.

Current Success and the Future

Shinda's most recent album, Balle, was a huge success, and Shinda hopes to carry on this success with his new album entitled Sukshinder Shinda - Collaborations (scheduled for 2006). It contains some of the most famous vocalists in the Bhangra industry, including Jazzy B, A.S. Kang, and Gurdas Maan to name a few.
