Musicians - The Nylons

The Nylons are an a cappella group founded in 1979 in Canada, best known for their covers of The Turtles' "Happy Together", Steam's "Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye", and The Tokens' version of the traditional "The Lion Sleeps Tonight".

These songs appeared on the band's most popular albums, 1987's Happy Together and 1989's Rockapella; at the time, the Nylons' lineup consisted of Arnold Robinson, Paul Cooper, Marc Connors and Claude Morrison. Cooper retired from the band in 1990, and was replaced by Micah Barnes
; Connors died in 1991 and was replaced by Billy Newton-Davis
. In early 2006 Arnold Robinson retired. Tyrone Gabriel became the new bass singer and Gavin Hope returned to the baritone part.

Currently the band's lineup is Morrison (tenor), Tyrone Gabriel (bass), Garth Mosbaugh (tenor), and Gavin Hope (baritone).
