| Tomas Haake (born July 13, 1971) plays drums for the metal band Meshuggah. Noted for the technical complexity of his playing, Haake is highly regarded in Drum magazine polls. Unlike many other drummers noted for their technical abilities he maintains a restrained style, focusing on groove rather than flashy solos and fills. His drumming style is marked by his use of polymeters, often playing several beats simultaneously. Haake writes the majority of Meshuggah lyrics and also contributes vocals on several songs. When asked about his interests outside of music he mentions that he owns a bike.
