The song was written by Jerry Bock, George David Weiss, and Larry Holofcener, and was introduced in a Broadway musical, Mr. Wonderful, starring Sammy Davis Jr. 1958 recordings by Sammy Davis, Jr. and by Frank Sinatra are the best-known recorded versions of the song. The song was also recorded by Jamie Callum in 2002. A memorable 1956 duet of the song featured Ella Fitzgerald and Joe Williams.
