| Vagif Mustafa Zadeh (1940 in Baku - 16 December, 1979) was an Azeri jazz pianist and composer. He created the style of "jazz-mugam", a blend of jazz and Azeri folk music. Vagif Mustafa Zadeh won first prize at the 8th International Music Festival in Monaco in 1978, but died the next year. He is survived by his daughter Aziza Mustafa Zadeh, who is known as a jazz singer in her own right.
