| Volodymyr Ivasyuk (1949-1979) (Ivasiuk) (Ukrainian Володимир Івасюк) was one of the most popular contemporary composers and poets to emerge from Ukraine. He is author of the widely popular song Chervona Ruta, popularized by Sophia Rotaru but later covered by other singers as well. He was found hanged in a forest in 1979. Buried in Lviv on Lychakivskiy Cemetery.
