Video games - Armada

Armada is a video game that was released for the Sega Dreamcast in 1999. An Asteroids-like RPG, Armada was a sci-fi shooter that allowed 1-4 players to fly about the universe, fighting the enemy and improving their ship. The player would gather resources to buy power-ups for their ship, allowing them to voyage deeper into enemy territory. A sequel was promised, but was canceled when Sega got out of the console market.

In 2005, EvSteam purchased the rights for Armada. EvStream is an independent game development studio. It has two members: Roger Fang and Mark Jordan. Armada Online is EvStream’s first project. As of early 2006, they are currently in open alpha.
