Video games - Chameleon Twist

Chameleon Twist is a platformer released for the Nintendo 64 in 1997. The protagonist of the game is a chameleon called Davey who follows a rabbit down a magical hole, and finds himself in a strange new land, where among other things, he suddenly takes on a humanoid form.

The most innovative thing about Chameleon Twist is its Tongue Physics. Since Davey is a chameleon he can use his tongue as a weapon; his tongue also extends as an arm of sorts, allowing him to swing from platform to platform by simply sticking his tongue onto various poles placed conveniently around each level.

The game also features a four player battle mode, and was followed in 1999
with a sequel, Chameleon Twist 2
.
