Fight Night: Round 3 is a boxing game developed by EA Sports. It is the sequel to EA Sports' previous boxing title, Fight Night: Round 2, which was released in 2005. Round 3 was released on February 22, 2006 for the Xbox, Xbox 360, PSP and PlayStation 2.Fight Night: Round 3, Xbox 360As the new-generation games are finally being released to the Xbox 360, Fight Night: Round 3 is a must have for the total boxing experience in a boxing simulator. Many aspects have been changed in the new-generation games. The very first major change is the lack of the HUD that displayed health, stamina, and round time. This key element has been removed to make the player take more control of his/her own fighter and learn to watch how the boxer’s stance, posture, and breathing is changing as the fight goes on. Another update to this new-generation game is the Total Punch Control stick. The right analog stick on the Xbox control can be used to perform any type of punch that a fighter would like to use. A new punch has been added, this punch is called the “instant KO-punch.” With a skillful rotation of the analog stick you can swing the momentum of the fight in your favor but sending your opponent stumbling backwards trying to regain his composure. In the Career mode of the game you have the ability to create a brand new boxer or rewrite the history of a well-known boxer. In the creation screen you can choose many different styles of punches, blocks, and stances for you boxer. A new feature that has been added to the Career mode in Fight Night: Round 3 is popularity meter. You must fight in bouts until you have enough popularity to be invited to fight in a big name fight. The new career mode dropped the ranking system from the previous systems. Now your popularity is determined by how you fight and how you win the fight. Also, the addition of rivals in the game makes the game play feel like you need to prove yourself to show that you are always better then your rival. To always make sure that your boxer is in the best condition for every fight, there are three mini-workout games that can be played before each fight to build up select stats and the risk of losing stats from another field. After going round for round with an opponent a player will need to master the ability to keep the swelling and cuts down to a minimum on the face of his boxer. With the addition of the EA Sports Cut-Corner between every round it gives the players to manually try to heal his/her boxer or let the computer try to heal them the best they can. This feature lets the player reduce swelling and slow down bleeding that will continue to drain the fighter’s energy throughout the fight. Boxers of Fight Night: Round 3Some of the boxers that are represented in Fight Night: Round 3 are as listed but this list does not include some of the boxers that can be unlocked as your progress through your career as a profesional boxer.
