| Space Panic was a 1981 arcade game that would later be ported to the Apple II computer as Apple Panic. Chris Crawford states in his book Chris Crawford on Game Design that it was the first ever platform game. While it is considered to be the first platform game, the character cannot jump over any of the pitfalls. A version of this game was released on the Apple II computer- 'Apple Panic'.
