Super Earth Defense Force is a side scrolling spaceship shooter game. It has six levels and a boss at the end of every level except level six which has three. Your health is measured in terms of shields. You normally start out each level with three sheilds and you lose one each time you get hit. If you lose all of them your ship will blow up. You can continue three times for a total of four ships. The spaceship has two smaller ships that can be used to block bullets and use special weapons. As you destroy enemies a black bar at the top of the screen fills up with red. When it fills up your weapons get stronger. The level # near the bar indicates how strong your weapons are, not to be confused with the level you are playing. Five is the highest weapon level you can reach, however each time you fill up that bar after that you regain one shield. That is the only way to recover shields during a level. The screen will only show a maximum of five shields but you can hold more than that. Little >> marks at the top of the screen indicate how fast you are going and can be changed. >slow >>normal >>>fast

Weapon Types: Vulcan, Laser, Atomic, Homing, Explosive, S. Laser, Photon, Grenade.
