| Tecmo World Cup was a video game for the Nintendo Entertainment System. Released in 1990 by Tecmo, it was a game for football (soccer). It had eight countries, as you tried to win the World Cup. In addition, you could play on many types of surfaces, including grass, rocks, and sand. It is a heavily Americanized version of Japanese Captain Tsubasa football (soccer) game released for the Famicom system, featuring a different main character, a different introduction, different music, and all characters were changed to look more American, for example no spikey black hair.
