The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is title of a Game Boy video game released by LJN in 1992 and was programmed by Bits Studio. While the game was technically a sequel to the 1990 video game titled The Amazing Spider-Man, it had little to do with the first game and was widely panned by video game critics.

Storyline

A collection of supervillians have framed Spider-Man for a bank robbery and thus he must survive several side-scrolling levels, battlling various thugs and supervillians in order to clear his name.

The game was different from the original Amazing Spider-Man game, in that along with its action-adventure theme, Spider-Man also had to collect various objects located in each level in order to solve puzzles.

Critics

Most video game critics panned the game for having much smaller graphics then the original, intermission scenes with bad grammer, and a frustratingly difficult game play format.
