Video games - Time Crisis 3

Time Crisis 3 is the third incarnation of the wildly popular Time Crisis
arcade series. The game is physically similar to the Time Crisis II
setup, featuring two players able to cover each other. The game keeps the pedal system for hiding and advancing, but incorporates a new type of weapons system allowing the player to switch between the standard issue 9-round handgun, a fully automatic machine gun that can hold 200 rounds, a shotgun with 50 rounds for close quarters fighting, and a grenade launcher with a five round capacity. Only the handgun has unlimited ammunition, so players must shoot yellow-clad soldiers to obtain additional ammunition for other weapons.

Later, this title was also released for the PlayStation 2, together with a side story featuring Alicia Winston as a player, who is only an unplayable supporter in the Arcade Release of the game. Unlike Time Crisis and Time Crisis II, you have to play the game as Alicia to know the game's true end. As with the PlayStation2 version of Time Crisis II, Crisis Mission exercises are offered to those who complete the game as both the VSSE Agents and Alicia Winston.

Not much about the voice acting is mentioned on this game, but the known personalities who did the voice acting in Time Crisis 3 are as follows:
  • Zach Jordan as Wild Fang
  • Scott McCulloch as Wild Dog
  • Lynn Harris as Alicia Winston.

The story

VSSE view

In the Mediterranean, a crisis is brewing. The small, peaceful island of Astigos and the independent nation of Lukano have been invaded by the Zagorias Federation, led by Giorgio Zott. The invasion, sparked by Lukanoan opposition to annexation, has several surrounding Mediterranean nations voicing opposition to the Zagorias Federation. Despite stiff opposition, the Zagorian Forces continue their invasion of Astigos and in 2-3 months, took control of 80% of the island. Zagorian Forces are also using Astigos as a tactical base to advance onto Lukano, but not without alerting Lukano Liberation Force's leader Daniel Winston about the Tactical Missile placement within what it's called "The Military Summit". Winston, his second-in-command Jake Hernandez, and other Lukano Liberation troopers attempted to attack the Zagorian Missile Silo only to be captured, resulting in a fatal disadvantage for Lukano. The Zagorian Army is now asking Lukano to capitulate with Zagoria in exchange for the lives of the hostages.

However, according to VSSE sources, the potency of the tactical missiles are labeled a threat not only to Lukano, but the surrounding nations, who ironically also protest the Zagorias Federation's annexation efforts as well. Anxious about the tension within the Mediterranean, VSSE dispatched two agents, Alan Dunaway and Wesley Lambert, to remove the threat.

Alan and Wesley had a rough start entering the island as they were greeted by several Zagorian Troops not welcoming the two visitors to Astigos. As Victor Zahn pinned the VSSE agents onto a wrecked ship, suddenly Alicia Winston, the last remaining troop of the LLA, comes in to rescue the VSSE agents from certain doom, and eventually fought back against Victor Zahn. The three befriend each other, but Alicia focused in having Alan and Wesley locate the missiles. Through an intense shootout at an Astigos village, within the forest of Astigos, Alan and Wesley managed to get into a train in which according to Alicia, "is the only way to the facility." Alicia then catches the train after being somewhat tardy, but the train trip was cut short when Randy Garrett destroyed the bridge leading to the Missile Silo and the Military Summit. Garrett's tyranny didn't stop Alan, Wesley, and Alicia from getting to the Military Summit, though. Shortly, they located Daniel, being provocated by Zott. Alan and Wesley distract the troops while Alicia finds a haven to rescue Daniel secretly and quickly. Before Alan and Wesley were able to rescue Daniel, they had to fight with an old rival, Wild Dog, and Wild Dog's apprentice, Wild Fang. Now Alan and Wesley approached Daniel only to see Zott blocking them. After Alicia landed a bullet right onto Zott's hand, Zott headed towards the missiles and Alan and Wesley went after Zott while Alicia took care of Daniel.

Through the flaming corridors of the library, Alan and Wesley were hot on the trail of Zott when Zott had them cut off by several Zagorian troopers. Alicia, Daniel, and the rescued troopers broke the VSSE agents loose so that Alan and Wesley would advance into the Missile Silo. Both Alan and Wesley discovered that Zott already programmed the missiles and he's ready to launch them, and challenges the VSSE agents to a duel. Despite his fierce efforts, Zott was killed, but not without telling the VSSE agents that they have no hope left. As the missiles were launching, Alan and Wesley found some RPGs to use to prevent the missiles from leaving the silo, blowing up the silo, immolating Zott, and saving Lukano from extermination.
